Hello Callie, My McElroys were in Erath Co in the 1890s and 1900s. My grandmother, Sarah Elizabeth York McElroy died there in 1895 and is buried at Huckaby, TX, Erath Co. My grandfather was Jacob Silas McElroy. The family moved from Boone Co., AR to TX in 1888. One child was born in Bosque Co., in 1891 and the next one in Erath Co., in 1893. His name was Oscar Lee McElroy and was called Pat. Let me know if you recognize any of the names.
