Lon Latta was James Alonzo Latta. He was born in Kentucky and had other family in the area. He was married to my grandfather's sister, Hollon Bryan. They had one child, Millard Ray Latta, and they had a foster child or adopted child, Belle Hanley. Lon Latta married Mary Dennis in 1907 and I know that he was living in Fort Worth by 1910. I am also very interested in information about Lon Latta's Bar. Lon Latta bought property jointly with some of my Bryan family members and also bought and sold from my grandfather and great-grandfather. My grandfather, Redic Bryan, may have worked for him as he was a saloon keeper in Comanche County in 1900. I don't think that he had the means to purchase his own saloon at that time and I have wondered if Lon Latta owned that saloon as well.
