    2. The TEXSHARE data bases are available to those who live in Texas only. I understand that many other states have a similar program. With the TEXSHARE program, residents of Texas have on line access to certain data bases. To access these data bases, these residents of Texas get a user name and password from a participating library. One of these data bases is Heritage Quest. Due to budget problems, the State of Texas can no longer pay for this service. Last year genealogists in Texas pledged enough money to pay for the service for one year. In order to keep is for another year, we will need to do the same thing. Since you do not live in Texas, I suggest that you check with your local library or a large library near you to see if your state has a similar program.
