Charles, Did you ever know of a William A Carter, and wife, Lillie E Carter? I understand he died in 1891 in Erath Co. They came to the county from TN, and after he died Lillie ran a boarding house. I found her on the 1910 census in Thurber and in 1920, in Harbin Town, both in Erath Co. Oscar W Carter, their son, was born in December, 1888, in Stephenville, and married my aunt, Berlin McKinney, in Stephenville, in 1919. The other children of the Carters were George M, born 1883, Nellie, born 1886, and Jessie (female), born 1898. I will appreciate any help.
