My ancestors moved to Erath Cnty about 1870 from Copiah Cnty, MS. They were Dempsey Perry & Ann Coor WELCH. Dempsey Perry & Ann were my gg grandparents. Their son, John Young WELCH, was my g grandfather and he married Margaret Annie MCLEOD in Erath Cnty. Their son and my grandfather, James Monroe "Jim" WELCH, was born in Huckabay in 1897. He had siblings being born in Huckabay & Harbin. Dempsey Perry & Ann WELCH both died in 1902 and are buried in the Huckabay Cemetery which I have been fortunate to visit. A daughter and son in law are also buried there. Her name is Leona PIPES. I have more information but just wondering if anyone recognizes any of these names.
