There was also an Arnoldwho married int the Moxley family, sisters of my grandmother, So faras proving Medical training- we have similar problems. Great Great Grandad Dr. W.P. Hatchett was supposed to have attended Univ. of Cincinatti with 2 brothers. T hey were all 3 Preachers, ordained by Rev. B.T. Stevens or his brother- one is buried in Selden Cemetery. The Univ. of Cincinatti says they have no records of their attendance or degrees. One organized a Gonzales Church bewfore 1850 and at least 16 more , many on the Bosque and Pony Creek. Correspondence Courses? Summer workshops? or did they " Read" Medicine with an older Doctor. ? I have a book of cures- home remedies and drugs ina a handwritten notebook of his- everything in it could be bought over the counter is some Grocery stores and mix your own medicine. Some are perscription npow. Charles A.
