Notsure whi, but FTM found Georgr Carey andfamily on this list- this was David Carey's grandad. Uncle George once owned Johnsville land where son Perry and Maypearl Pemberton or Pendleton Carey lived. Descendants of James T. (Sr.) Stone 1 James T. (Sr.) Stone 1799 - 1876 Born Lexington, Rock Bridge, Virginia . +Margaret Frances (Peggy) Woosley 1804 - 1882 She and Jmes Jr. were born Flat Creek Bedford, Tennessee, where Neil McClennan of Waco and McLennan County was born. Neil McLennan was delegated by Texas Legislature to organize Bosque County, and later, Erath County. Col. Buick Barry and George B. Erath were present at the ceremonies, but George Erath, Austrian, said in his memroirs written by his daughter in Waco, , that he surveyed very little of Erath County. First county lines inluded to the Brazos near Glen Rose and much land from Paluxy North, which is now Hood and Somervell or Somerville County- both names were used at one time. And all this time I have thought George B. Erath was responsible for the botched survey which made the sharp offset of the Street in front of the old Stephenville High School. , and also the offset corners on farm roads which were abandoned or straightened. ) .......... 2 James T. Mom had Stone records written by Grace Ramage Livingston. I also met a man running a Colorado City appliance and Furniture store which carries the Ramage name. He had Arkansas Roots and knew he had kin in Stephenville area in the Stone Connected families. Hawthorne Ramage and son Jewell of Black Stump Valley were distantly related to these Ramages, by some reports. I have not seen it proved, but anything could happen in Arkansas . I worked on the Ramage Combine a few weeks one summer. in the Black Stump Valley. . .......................... +J.T.Lewis I was under the impression as a teenager that Clint and son Howard Carey were related, but neither Rex or I or other cousins have found the connection , I have not seen it.
