I've looked in the genealogy room at Tarleton but there were no ledgers like I was looking for. Perhaps they are in the attic ...years ago when I was in high school, a friend worked at the library and took me up to look at all the neat old books ...it was great (of course that was over 30 years ago and things have changed I suspect!).
