Hi, I guess you know that the Scotch- Irish way to abreviate McKindley and others beginning with Mc, when used as the middle name, was to drop the Mc and some of your records may show a Fred K. Miller. In my family this was done by a Harris Mckindley Wyly who signed his name as Harris K. Wyly- another, a merchant on a river in that neighborhood was Christopher McKinley Wyly, who had his likness in his ads in 1800 Newspapers. He signed his name Chris K. Wyly or C.K. Wyly In other words, if you find a Fred K. Miller or F.K. Miller,that is probably your Fred McKinley Miller. And yes, in late 1700's & early 1800's There Wyly- Miller family connections. Now, I wonder if they were connected to the Millerville , Erath County or Miller Hill , also in Erath County. Several Wylys lived near Millerville.
