Pat Pryor is our family Doctor in White Rock Clinic in Woodway. his wife was Pres. of Midway School board in the past. I left his Secretary an E mail from you. Not sure he got it. Concerning Sonny Boy, he was a living legend when we played pool in Stephenville or Hico. He was sometimes present- but not often enough to keep Winos from drinking Vanilla Flavoring or Cardui or Percy Medicine before they passed out around the corner from Majestic Theatre. I still think he did amateur boxing and later became a deputy- not the one who became the judge. Also, who was the man who Ross Wolfe paroled out of Huntsville Prison to be his mechanic in the Nursery shop? In the 1940's several of us teenagers who worked part time at Nursery on winter breaks, used to stop in nursery or fields for lunch. When we did, we heard the mechanic crank his souped up V8 and drag out to Jake and Dorothy's or the Onyx or the Ace Cafe. He made thje corner by Tarleton Monument around 60 mph and took a minute oir so to get actross town. he was paroled because of the WW2 extreme shortage of mechanics- many overseas. The man was a Master Mechanic- but National Speed limit was 45 mph, which was enough for those bootleg cheap retreads and mexican parts and booted tires. So far as I know, the mechanic lived a respectable life and kept his nose clean otherwise.
