Charles, Do you, or anyone, have anything on a John T MCEORMICK in Erath Co.? He and family were on the 1910 Erath Co. census. Location is Precint 6 and also states Morgan Mill and Gordon(?) Road. I'm not sure of the Gordon, it could be Gordne Road. John McCormick was born in MO and his parents born in IL. His wife was Ida and she was born in TX.He was 43 and she was 37. He was a farmer. There are two stepdaughters listed of Mr McCormick: Bessie Halbert, 20, and born in TX, both parents born in TX, and Edith, 16, born in TX and both parents born in TX. These are evidently Ida's children. Edith is my aunt and was married to (James) Horace MCELROY 1913, in Thurber, TX. Family information stated Uncle Horace married Edith McCormick. She was born in Morgan Mill, 1894. The census gave the girls surname as Halbert. I would like more information on the Halbert name as well as McCormick. Thanks very much.
