Hi, in 1960, Sam Rose and Ira Hurley were the barbers in Walnut Springs, Texas, where they are now buried. Ira Hurley grew up in Duffau and Pony Creek & married Lela Belcher, a cousin of my Great Aunt Etta Robinson Moxley. They are descenhded from Bill Robinson who pastored at Stephenville and Dublin- "Choctaw Bill" and organized some churches like Pony Creek and one in Hico , with Great Great Grandad Dr. William Pinckney Hatchett. Dr. hatchetty organized at least 17 Churches at Gonzales and on the Bosque after War with Mexico, 1845 and his completed contract of a Texas Ranger Volunteer Scout for Gen. Taylor's American Army from Fort Jessup, La. on Old Spanish Road. Fort jessup and Raylene were inold Spanish Texas- east of tne Sabine River, in Present day Louisiana- west of Natchitoches and the Cane River. Charles Wyly
