Hi, The next annual meeting of the Turnbow Cemetery asssociation will be this coming Saturday, the 18th at the cemetery. This is an open invitation to come one, come all if you are interested in genealogy, Erath County and the pioneers buried at Turnbow Cemetery. After all, they had relatives buried all over Erath County and you never know when you will find a connection. As usual, we will meet at the cemetery about 9 AM and hopefully we will have some nice fall weather. Bring a covered dish if you can, and come anyway if you can't. We always have a lot of food. I am usually at the cemetery by 9 AM and ready to meet and greet all of you. Meet people, talk genealogy, family etc., until noon, share a nice pot luck lunch and then a short (and I do mean short) business meeting. I hope that now that we have changed the date from spring to fall, you will not only be able to come, but to also bring a relative (or two or three). We need new members, people who have ancestors buried there prior to 1970. For those of you who cannot make the meeting and would like to send a donation, my address is at the bottom of this letter. If any of you are interested, I have about 8 copies left of my book, "The Families of Turnbow Cemetery, Erath County Texas" -- if not don't worry, they fill in a nice blank spot in my bookcase.
