Armenta, I have two Akers in my data base: Dorothy Akers married Wilty McElhaney who was born in Erath County. They had four children: Ronnie Lee, Dale, Allen and Lori. Wilty was my grandmother's brother. The other is William Akers married Alma Matilda McCluskey. I don't have much more on these couples. If either tweeks your interest, please contact me.
