Hello Armenta. Welcome. Your name is similar to a name in my mother's family. She had an aunt that was named Mary Ametter. Think the young ones called her Aunt Rhett. Not sure of the Rhett spelling, just how it sounds. You never know how people are going to pronounce a name it seems. Mary Ametter Pledger married Ben Thorald Williams, 1871, Hill Co., TX. She was a sister to my grandmother, Eliza Jane Pledger McKinney. The Williams moved to Garvin Co., OK after all their children were born. Some remained in Hill Co I believe.
