Help! Check the names in scotch Irish site listing Wright, Beaty (sp), Love. and Graham. These names were not uncommon in Erath County and in Ireland they were connected. . If my memory is accurate,, Warren Beaty - Bring em back alive Beaty was from Fort Worth and a very active supplier 0f wild live animals for American market and he gave some of the African animals to the Fort Worth Zoo in 1930-s and 40's . This was when the Dallas zoo did not compare to Fort Worth's zoo. I also attended school in Stephenville High or Tarleton with a Beaty . Seems he was red headed , which was not uncommon. All that I know about him is that he was married twice, he was born in Scotland and migrated to Northern Ireland and lived in the vicinity of Dublin. The first wife died and the children of that marriage moved to Canada somewhere, and these children were farmers. Emily Wright used to correspond with these Beatty's as she was a cousin. My great great grandmother, Rose Love, was Joseph's 2nd. wife and by the sounds of a letter I have in my possession died in Lonsdale, Providence Co., Rhode Island, sometime between 1885 - 1886. Here are just a few details: Joseph Beatty [and Variations] married Rose Love, their daughter Elizabeth Beatty married Robert Wright, probably in the county of Down, Northern Ireland. Elizabeth was born 27 April 1858. Robert Wright was a foreman in a flax mill in Killyleagh, Down Co., Northern Ireland. The Wright's immigrated between 1886 and 1887. Robert Wright's parents were William and Mary [Graham] Wright. Robert and Elizabeth Wright had the following children: Mary, they called her Minnie, b: 27 July 1880 in Killyleagh, Down Co., NI Emily, they called her Emma, b: 1882, more than likely in Killyleagh Sarah, they called her Sadie], b: 18 Dec. 1884, in Armagh, Armagh Co., NI Rose Ann, they called her Annie, b: 09 Oct. 1887, in Northbridge, Worcester Co., MA Jane, they called her Jennie, b: 20 Jan. 1890, in Northbridge, Worcester Co., MA William, they called him Willie, b: 21 April 1892, in Whitinsville, Worcester Co., MA Beatrice, they called her Bea, b: 29 March 1896, in Whitinsville, Worcester Co., MA Somehow the Beatty's or the Wright's are connected to the Little's, Edward's and McEwen/McKeown families that lived in Rhode Island but I can't make a connection as everyone of those families have long past away. If anyone is connected to these families and knows who Joseph's first wife would have been, please message me at: care_2@cros.net I have been looking for these Beatty's for a long time for my mother. She is 82 years old and knows nothing about her father's mother Elizabeth Beatty/Beattie/Beaty.
