I just purchased and have read about 1/3 of, "Born Fighting, How the Scots-Irish Shaped America," by James Webb. I am to the point where the first wave has made it to America and begun to spread south and west. So far, it is a good book. It covers the history of the Scots including William Wallace and Robert the Bruce, then the plantations in Ireland and then what led up to the Scots-Irish leaving Ireland for the Colonies. I agree with you about the book, "Born Fighting, How the Scots-Irish Shaped America." I have been reading it also and it has given me such a wonderful insight into the Scots-Irish people and my ancestors. I recommed it to anyone who wants to learn more about these wonderful people that we call Scots-Irish.
