I am looking for information about the family of Moses S. Thompson (1806-1890) who is buried in the Bethel Cemetery near Morgan Mill. He was married to a Martha (maiden name unknown) and children included Mary E., William, Lucinda A., Sarah, Margaret Ellen, John A., and Robert W. John A. and Robert W. are also buried in the Bethel Cemetery. Robert W. Thompson was married to S. Elkins. They had a son, Leroy, who was raised by an Elkins family after his mother's death in 1899. John A. Thompson was married to Mary A. Nowry and later to Martha "Mattie" Hairston Chisum. His children were Mahaley, Floyd W., Aaron W., Edgar R., Jessie, and Claud C. A few years ago, when I knew much less about this family, someone wrote to me about a the ruins of a Thompson house that had burned. If that person is on this list, please contact me.
