    3. If your Kings were from Missouri or Tennessee, they may be listed in the SEVIER FAMILY HISTORY and letters and Geneaology charts. The Gov. King of Missouri as a judge presidover Missouri- Navoo City Mormopn Polygamy trials, then several members of hisa family came to Stephenville where other Sevier Descendants were settling. Some of this family srtarted King Abstract abd King and Brauer Businesses in Stephenville. We met a descendant of these families east of San Marcos , a Motel manager with Missouri and Sevier roots. She said her dad took the family to town to meet the King Ranch owner. Her dad had a missing brother or cousin who might be him. Now, The King Ranch Owner joined Merchant Marine- Maratime worker in St. Louis and travelled the world of Commercial routes. Was this the same man as left the Coast and bought the King Ranch?? I was told that The George Parr Ranch was financed by the Lykes lines andd were rivals odf the Kennedy Shipping interests. Connecting dots is a way to start research- some may be false connections, Anyway, the lady from Seguin said they sat in their wagons until a Black Stage with black curtains had a voice from the window calling her dad. He got in the Stage and they were gone an hour or twqo and when they returned, her dad got in the wagon and they started home. Finally her mom asked her dad if that was his brother. he stopped the wagon, turned quietly and said " I do not want to ever talk about it again. ", and he didn't . Have other King records form several states researched by Cousin Mattiew Roberts Somerville, deceased, who was a leader in DAR and Natchitoches, La. Geneaological Society . He husband told us that she was begging to suspect connections of her Roberts- McCArty- Telles ancestors to Brushy Bill Roberts of Hico AKA Billy the Kid. Haven't had time to pursue this to my Roberts ancestors on the Hatchett line. Charles A.
