    3. Thanks, Tyler, Will check, but I think the name was changed due to the south Texas Garner State P:ark. Was this Stephenville park one place where boys from Mingus area used to meet Boys from Glen Rose and have a few fights. Glen Rose was once wet, like Mingus, but more famous for Moonshine made there in National Prohibition era and after and deliverred to Dallas and other Speakeasies. West , McLennan County Czech and German" Whiskey Holler" moonshiners also delivered to Dallas in dummy gas tanks under the car or pickup. The $60.00 per gallon profit in dodging Federal Taxes was not unknown, but a local Jury would not ususlly convict them. No one wanter to feed their kin or the county feed them while their dads were on 10 year "Business Trips " To Huntsville. Federal Liquor Copntrol didn't let that bother them. Sopme in West had Roots in Company homes in Thurber and came from Europe to Erath County, paid by TP Coal and Oil.
