    3. Try going to a Google.com window and type MULUNGEONS In, and from the two Index pages of sites- some from Rootsweb.com discussing Kentucky and North Carolina and other family history listings and also nationalities involved. Rootsweb has some Mulungeon listings from Smoky Mountains in Kentucky. Pastor Arnold Murray of the Shepherd's Chapel from Gravette , Arkansas has also traced these folk and claims the ones in North Carolina have some strong similarities to Jewish and Arab and other cultures, and actually have some language patterns not used elsewhere in the U.S. We sometimes listen to him on Satelite TV. he teaches some familiar Christian ideas, but on the Jewish Passover many of his converts from over the U.S. return there and observe the Jewish Passover, not Easter. He also claims that there are rocks in the Rocky Mountains with Hebrew Carvings put there before 1492, and he also refers , at times, to the Legends of Glastenbury (See it on Google) about when Joseph, Uncle of Jesus took a teenage Jesus to Glastenbury , England lead mines which were used by Persians long before B.C., and a chapel stands there today older than Catholicism . These sites on the Internet also have a legend of Joseph Burying Jesus , his nephew after removing him from the Cross, and later taking Mary to Glastenbury after Crucifixion of Jesus. DAR records have an Article several years ago which traced McNeil Families of Ireland and Scotland and other Colonies to the Egyptian Princess which raised Moses. Also, a legend about Jeremiah the Prophet being released from a Roman Jail after his leadership was destroyed by the Romans. The Bible just says that after he was freed he went to the North Country. They did not have a word like Northwest- but either North or West- from Jerusaleum, England is 45 degrees Northwest . DAR records and English Anglican or Episcopal church legends and reports claim he brought his daughter to Ireland and crowned her Queen as she sat on the Stone of Scone, or the Stone of Destiny- from the last jewish Temple- This stone was removed to Glasgow, Scotland and Mary Queen of Scotts, moved it to London and it was placed in Westminister Abbey under the Coronation Throne. In the last few years this stone was returned to a museum in Glasgow, Scotland. In 1960's a True West or Frontier Times Bi monthly magazine showed strange carvings on a rock in Arkansas which no Indian could understand. This Magazine was published by J. Austell Small and Historical fact editor was Dr. Walter Prescott Webb of University of Texas. A Norwegian Seminary Student at SMU in Dallas saw the photos and recognized it as 10 century Norwegian Alphabet, saying these Vikings had sailed up the Mississippi and Red River or White River and were shopwrecked by a storm. Indians admired their red hair, thus early explorers found Redheaded Indians on Mississippi. Also, one tribe of Indians near the Great Lakes had a language similar to the Basque Language of St Francis Xavier and the Basque of Avalon, Pamplona, and Navarre- now divided betwqeen Spain and France. The Basque who explored with A Spanish Commander could understand some of their language. These Basque under the Spanish Flag also named the Bosque River- Sevier Family History has records from a Pamplona Library translated from the Basque Tongue which shows a Court Recorder as signing his name and Title which included the name of Bosque. Say- Did any of your relatives include Adam and Eve? Arnold Murray teaches an 8 th day creation of Kenites descended from Eve- or frm Chidren of Sons of God marrying daughters of man only. That one floored me as to his translations. Take care- Reminds me of when a monkey saw a page about Evolution and was reading it- when his keeper brought him food. The monkey scratched his head, looked at the Keeper, read it again, and said "Am I my Keeper's Brother?" 1. Erath 1896 map
    2. I have an 1896 map of Erath County that shows all of the land owners at that time and a few from neighboring Hood and Palo Pinto Counties. The map is 18" by 24". The printing is very small and a lot of it must be read with a magnifying glass. I ordered it from KJ5KE Tim W. Seawolf P.O. Box 3282 Quail Valley, CA 92587 about 5 years ago. I do not remember how much it cost. As time allows, I will do look ups on the map if you can tell be the general area of the county where you think that your ancestor might have been in 1896. Please do not send requests to the list, but to me instead. Put 1896 map in the subject line. Margaret McCleskey, Arlington, Texas

    1. DNA documentary
    2. emrog
    3. I watched a scientific report on DNA. a team of scientist have spent years trying to isolate and follow dna in the migration of man throughout the world. they found a tribe in africa that has a unique dna and they started with that and traced mans migration. I wont go into all the details but what they found was that we are all evolved from this one tribe,,,,,they were able to find the dna marker in all ethnic groups. eva

    1. Black Dutch
    2. emrog
    3. Tom Rogers cousin did a report on black dutch and we had a discussion about the origin of this term. It is a mixture of different races and has a long history of how it evolved in early america if you had dark skin you were looked down upon many mixed blood lines, indians, whites, black, gypsies, spaniards, etc who were swarthy,,,,,,used the term black dutch to cover up their real ethnic makeup. the term was used in my family and after looking back over my geneaology from the rogers side i gathered we had gypsy, spanish, jewish, blood mixed in,,,,,,,but i am not sure i even called holland to find this group lol,,,they have never heard of black dutch. so i dont use the term anymore to describe my rogers side,,,,,,lol Instead i list all of our blood lines. Tom what is your cousins name who wrote a book on this. eva

    1. Re: [ERATH] Re: Black dutch
    2. Clyde, Many, many years ago, the Spainards invaded Holland. At this time, some Dutch girls either married or became pregnant by the Spainards. The children born of these unions were of darker skin than the Dutch, so they became known as black Dutch. My grandmother was black Dutch. Dorothy
