Laura, Thanks for the response. We don't know much about our Ward side. Pawpaw Ward would never talk of his family. He was born in August of 1880 in Alamance, North Carolina. Since his death, we wrote to the railroad company he retired from and obtained copies of all the paper work in his file and it had his parents listed as Lark Baisley Ward and Louella Malone. I did find a L.B. Ward listed in the census records of 1860 in N.C., with the father being Brazilia Ward. Then I found a copy of a marriage record for Brazilia Ward and Cornelia Ann Hessey on December 20, 1825 in Alamance, N.C. Children listed in the house in in the 1860 census were T.A. Ward female born 1846, Lark Baisley Ward male born 1852 and E.S. Ward male born 1855. Don't know if any of these may have come to Texas or not. Sidney married Regina Sugg in New Orleans on July 12, 1912 and they were living in Houston, Texas when Doris Eugenia was born. Then they moved onto Ellis County Texas. If you see any ties please let us know. This Ward line has been a big secret! Linda Laura Burton wrote: > Dear Linda and Larry, > > Are you related to the Ward's from Italy,Tx?
