Harold, I may have led you astray! sorry, but yes, my Martha Gibbs was born in 1843. The family story was that Benjamin Franklin Brock's 1st wife was Nancy ??? and 2nd wife was Martha Ann Gibbs (but according to the census she was born abt 1833) When I found the census for Smith Gibbs I found he had a daughter "Mary Ann Gibbs, born 1833 and a daughter Martha R. born in 1843! Now either the father switched the names around on the census, or the girls did later? your guess is as good as mine. but going by the ages Mary Ann was md to Ben, not Martha as there was no Martha Ann!! I do have all the children for Smith Gibbs, but nothing on his parents or anything on his wife. Some of his descendants still live in Bristol, Ellis co, TX and attend our "Old Bristol Families Reunion" in June of each year. Dian
