Hi, I noticed the HAWKINS surname. I also am researching for the HAWKINS connection. I have the following if we make a connection or if anyone else has info on this line would love to hear from you. Janice 1880 U.S. CENSUS OF MILAM CO TX Mathew J or (T) HAWKINS, 51 years old white male farmer born in GA as were his parents. He had a 41 year old wife SUSAN C. HAWKINS who was born in MS her parents born in AL and TN. They had ten children: Nathaniel 23, Bell 19, Florenc 16, Blanch 12 J(my g/m), James 10, Frank 8, Samuel 7, Joseph 5, Mark 2, and Willard 3 mos old. All the children were born in TX. Joseph, Blanch, and Mark are buried in the Old Chetfield Cemetery with their mother Susan C Hawkins, her maiden name may have been DENSON, can't verify that one yet.
