E. C. McDuffie, North Grove Creek joins up with South Grove Creek about a mile south of Sterrett wanders south east past Ike and then turns north and passes close to Palmer. These are shown on my 20-30 year old General Highway map of Ellis County, Texas. Sterrett may be part of Waxahachie, Tex by now. All three communities were in existence when I visited each of the while earning the boy scout cycling merit badge in 1941. The map shows church symbols along the creek, but no church names. I hope this narrows your search some.
