Hello, I just received the following info and wondered if anyone had the book "History of Ellis Co, TX - 1892", pg 540 that could do a look up for me: William Jasper SHELTON was not only in the CSA, he also served in the Mexican War (History of Ellis Co, TX - 1892, p. 540). This information is given in the biography of I. N. MORRIS who was his brother-in-law, but the name is misspelled and it say W. J. SHOTTON. There is also a biography of a V. H. SHELTON, son of J. R. & Jennie A. This states that the father of J. R. SHELTON was a J. W. SHELTON who md. a Miss DOWDY, daughter of Richard DOWDY. Any information would be appreciated.
