MCCOY - -------------------------- >From "Bible Records and Marriage Bonds" it states Isaac Taylor, son of Isaac and Margaret Taylor, was born 19th of Sept , in the year of our Lord, 1831. Isaac Taylor married his wife, Margaret Jane Blakemore, the 8th of July,1856. Also, found info on those Taylor governors.... This is from the book "Fiddle and Bow" by Robert Taylor, Jr. 1985. "These Taylors were descended from Isaac Taylor, Sr. and Isabella Wilson Taylor through their son Andrew and Annie Wilson Taylor, and then Nathaniel (the General) and Mary Patton and their son James Patton Taylor and his wife Mary Carter (daughter of Landon Carter). Next in line is Nathaniel Green Taylor who married Emmaline Haynes and their son James Patton who married Mary Susan George, Their son Baxter Taylor married Love THOMAS and produced Robert Love Taylor, SR. who married Merle Wiseman and then Dorothy Antene. One of these wives was the mother of Robert Love Taylor, Jr. who wrote the book. Nathaniel and Emmaline Haynes also produced Alfred Alexander Taylor and Robert Love Taylor, each of whom became Governor of TN and are famous for "War of the Roses" during which they ran against each other for that office". Any assistance with these lines would be greatly appreciated. Thanks... Marguerite Prince Songy
