I have really been interested in all of the activity on this list lately. I would like to offer a challenge that has benefited others in the past. Why not take a few minutes to tell what family you are researching in Ellis County. If everyone on the list would take a few minutes and do this, I think that many of us would find others researching the same lines. My family ties to Ellis county are through John Meredith Couch who died in Italy, Texas 06/14/1900. He was a coowner of the Couch Bros. & Hamlett store in Italy. I hear the building still stands. I also am related to the George Washington Underwood line. he died in Waxahachie, Texas 07/16/1956. If you are researching either of these lines I would like to hear from you.
