Researching the family of Lee and Elizabeth Clift Smith who came to Ellis Co TX after 1850. Their son, Stephen Clift Smith m. Elizabeth Ellis and lived in the Red Oak/Ovilla communities. Lee died in 1860 at age 63 and is listed as "widower". Stephen died in 1863 but I have been unable to find any information on where they are buried or when Elizabeth CLift Smith died. I will be glad to share my information on this family with anyone knowing of them. They and other Clifts came from Lincoln Co. Tn. Lee bought 2 properties from Stephen Alexander Clift.
