Hi Pat, My husbands family was Elias Harrison Clemons(Clements) born abt. 1852 in LA went to East Texas them on to Dallas and maybe Ellis Co. by 1882. He had a sister Joanne McCarver, and maybe two more brothers Augustus and ?. They were orphaned while young and lived with a family that ended up changing the spelling to Clements I've been told.)
