Some of the surnames I'm researching in Ellis County are - (husband's family) IRWIN, STEWART, TUCKER, MOORE, BIGHAM, EDMONDSON, TIDWELL, RINEHART, PETTY, MORROW, CARROLL and HEINE. My family has been in Ellis County since the 1880's. A few surnames are - HUNSUCKER, SUTTON, ADAY, CLAY, HILL, CRAIG and POWERS.
