    3. Hello All, None of this information posted recently has benefited me in the least. However, I just delete what doesn't pertain to me. I would like to remind everyone that what you post is kept in the ROOTS-L archives. So a year from now or whenever, if someone checks those archived messages and finds something that was posted to this list that helps them with solving their family mysteries - isn't that what it's all about? Please keep posting all this wonderful information - you never know when it will help someone else. If all this valuable data is sent only to the person who inquired about it - that data will not be posted into the archives to help future researchers. If you haven't searched ROOTS-L archives - it's a wonderful tool. Use this URL: http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl and enter (using all upper-case letters) TXELLIS. Once there, just put in a word that will bring up your interest; i.e. - Ennis or Waxahachie or Jones or whatever. This search engine can be used for all the mailing lists run by ROOTS-L. If you want to check any county in Texas, just enter TXKAUFMA for example. It's always the state first, then six letters of the county name. But wait <grin> there's more. Use this search engine for surnames too, or special interest lists. If in doubt, go to the main ROOTS-L webpage and see what all they can do for you. You people who do volunteer work for these lists are top-notch folks! Thanks, Janice Mauldin Castleman
