    3. >From a different list. Around 1879, Marvel and Matilda Tidwell came to Hood County from Tennessee through Missouri and Paris, Texas. With them was their son Albert Tidwell and his wife Martha (Mattie). Albert had two sons in Kentucky and three more children after moving to Hood County. Albert was a farmer. In 1889, he retired and moved to Tolar and operated a livery stable with his son Lonnie Lee Tidwell. Lonnie Lee Tidwell married Anna May Sheppard in 1905. He stopped working at the livery stable and went to work on his own farm four miles southwest of Tolar, Texas. Four children were born through the years.
