Wow - Ellis County has really lit up recently. Looking for three separate lines - one large line on my mother's father's side - WEBB, CARTER, ODOM, KOONCE and LAWLER that migrated to Ellis County about 1879 from Henderson County, Tennessee. Lived in the areas Bristol, Crisp and Alsdorf. Huge families (mom had 41 first cousins). A line from my mother's mother's side - HINES and SWEENEY - Crisp and Alsdorf. Also Ennis, Texas. Especially Proctor HINES, attorney. All originally from San Antonio - moved to Ellis County after father's death at turn of the century. A line from my father's mother's side - AYERS. Railroad people there in 1890s. Originally Cass County, Texas people. Will gladly exchange info.
