Thank You Sylvia Smith, Chairman Ellis County Historical Commission sylsmith@azmail.net >> Hi Sylvia, Seeing this e-mail message reminded me of the little pioneer cemetery on East Burnet in Ennis. They built an apartment complex right next to it. If you walk the fence line on the right of the apartments when you get to the old huge cedar trees you will see the tombstones all fallen down and broken. Have these names been recorded? Are they still readable? I know about them because my husband grew up on East Burnet and used to walk through a pasture with a white picket fence around this little graveyard. We are just curious about who is buried there and if there is a way to take care of this little one inside the city limits of Ennis. Best Wishes, Helen
