Jack McBurnett, 63, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2000, at his home in Palmer. He was born June 20, 1936, in Dallas, the son of Charter Hubert and Isabel Blocker McBurnett. He was a graduate of Palmer High School and attended North Texas State University. On Aug. 24, 1957, he was married to Mary Barron. After their marriage they lived in Ennis and Palmer. He was an insurance claims adjuster in the sales business. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Palmer; a son and his wife3, Mark and Darla McBurnett, of Ennis; two daughters and their husband, Dorcas and Brad Lotspeich, of Ennis, Lisa and Rey Santiso, of Brownsville; grandchildren, Elise and Adrienne Arnold, Corey and Elizabeth McBurnett, Perry Nutt, Danielle Steel, Alan and Bryan Lotspeich; a sister and her husband, Sue and Gilbert Sevier, of New Orleans; nephews, Gilbert and Bill Sevier; neice, Suzanne Broadwell; mother-in-law, Janie Barron; three aunts, Ioma Blocker Higgins, Frances Anne and her husband Asbury Blocker, and Gladys Blocker; along with other cousins, great-neices, great-nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First United Methodist Church in Palmer. Interment will be in the Palmer Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday in the Keever Mortuary-Palmer chapel. The family requests any memorials to be made to the Palmer Cemetery Association, P.O.
