I agree with you Tom, and had I been a man, would have made the same decision. >From the research that I have done, my southern ancestors were just poor dirt farmers, trying to survive in a hard country and defend their homes. They had no slaves, and they just defened their family and property. I am against slavery of any kind, white/black/hispanic/indian/women/children. And although it still exists for alot of women and children, don't you think that we need to start there? Let's move forward and learn from our past. This is part of our heritage/history.
