Hi Robert, You are absolutely correct about the wife who lived in Hill Co., TX. I found a good bit about her on Rootsweb, and it all checked out. I have this date for the death date of Mattie McGilvary. April 04, 1957 I do not know the name of the county in which she died, but husband John Thomas died in 1968 in Tarrant Co. The Grandmother of John Thomas Hill, and the Uncle of John Thomas all died in Tarrant Co. also. Thank you so much for your help. Mary I just really need to know about the First wife, Annie Jewell Hill who died in 1927 in McLennan Co. > Mary, there is an Annie Jewel Hill who died in 1927 in McLennan County. > Name: Annie Jewel Hill > Death Date: 27 Dec 1927 > Death County: McLennan > Certificate: 41749 > > John and Mattie has a child born 1931 in Henderson County. > T Hill Jr. > Date of Birth: 30 Jan 1931 > Gender: Male > Birth County: Hill > Father's name: J T Hill > Mother's name: Mattie McGilvray > > So far I have not found anything more on Annie Jewel; > Hope this helps > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <[email protected]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Sunday, January 28, 2007 11:18 AM > Subject: Re: [TXELLIS] John Thomas Hill and wife Annie Jewell > > > > Hi Jackie, > > > > Thanks for your help. Mary, I got a death cert. yesterday for the man on the Dallas Co. message board who does Death Cert. lookups. Did you get the one that you were looking for of Annie Jewel Hill? I hope that you requested it because it sure can give you lots of info including a maiden name! Julie
Hi Jackie, Thanks for your help. My John Thomas worked for the railroad and moved around a lot. The one named Lydia was Lydia Lee Hill. I do not know about the other two. The only check I have is: 1917 John Thomas registered for the DRAFT in 1917 in Ellis Co. Wife was Annie Jewell. 1920 lived in Henderson Co., and wife was listed as just Jewell, but I feel they were the same person. 1930 lived in Hill Co., but with new wife Mattie. Will check out what you have sent, and THANKS. Swan, Okay, Could you check Henderson County birth records for John HILL. There are several births but am not sure that any of the John Hill listings are the correct family. If you could check on that , maybe one of those children would be the child of John and Annie Jewell Hill. Thanks for your help. Jackie "ShaJuan A.
