Sylvia, If I understood correctly, the book you are writing about doesn't have a person index only an article index. Is this correct? Was hoping to find a mention of my great-grandparents' who are my tallest brick wall. Could you let me know if the Historical Society still has this book for sell? I think the book in question is that originally published by the Lewis Publishing Company, Chicago, Ill. in 1892. It was been reprinted with additional material some years ago by the Ellis Co Genealogical Society. I believe that any large library would have a copy.
