    3. Reply: This is a very generous offer. Thank you. I believe that members of my family were members of the Forreston Methodist Church from about 1897/98 to about 1910-1920 . Would look up the names of the following three families: William Edward Hasten and wife Anna D.Meadows Hasten. Anna D. died in 1904. Their children were Ernest Clifton (my grandfather) and Flora Hasten. Presley Hasten and wife Martha "Mattie" Meadows Hasten. Their daughter was Mary E. Jasper Newton Meadows and wife Rebecca Holt. - Jasper was also known as "Jap" Meadows. He was the father of the two sisters Anna D. and Martha "Mattie" who were wives of the two above named Hasten brothers. James McKenney and Elizabeth Jenny Lou Hasten McKenny and their children. Elizabeth Jenny Lous was a sister to William Edward and Presley Hasten. She died in 1910. Edward Case and Julia Orphelia Hasten (some records in TX spell her name Hastings) and children. Julia was a niece of the other Hastens named above. Thank you again for your time and efforts. I'm sure I'll have more relatives (Smiths) in those records, but don't want to selfishly burden you with look-ups. The Hasten Family, the Meadows, and the Smiths were all inter-related to each other several times in Limestone Co., AL. They all lived in/near Forreston and I'm told attended the Methodist Church there. 1. [TXELLIS] John Davis and Ann A. Pritchard Davis
    2. Robert and Sandra Wortham
    3. My grt-grt grandparents were John & Ann A. Pritchard Davis. Their daughter Jennie Teresa (or Teressie) was my grt. g.m. and was born in Ennis, Ellis Co., 1877. Mary Elizabeth "Molly" was born 1879 and do not know for sure but assuming at this point she was born in Ellis Co. also, being middle child and other two were. The youngest, Joe Monroe was born 1881 in Waxahachie, Ellis Co. Through the help of a volunteer lookup on the Ellis Co. site I've just found that John and Ann were married in Ellis Co. September 11, 1874. She did not locate any Pritchards in the Co. at that time but there was a 20 yr. old John w/parents in '70 census that could be a clue. They were Joel & Catherine (Patton from what I found in an archived post). She didn't locate my family of John & Ann there in '80 though would seem they would be with Joe's birth in '81. I have been told they probably moved from Ellis Co. by the time Jennie was 8, following the death of Ann. Does anyone have info on this line perhaps or know if I might can request a certified copy of the 1874 marriage record of John & Ann from the county clerk's office? Any suggestions or help appreciated; obviously I don't have much to share at this point but willing to with what I have. Thanks, Sandra

    2. I have recently acquired the use of the church records at the above named church. I am in the process of indexing the names for a web page. But for now I have made copies of one of the church register's so that I can do look ups. These books are very fragile so I am taking my time. If anyone has a clue that their family member was a member of this church I will be happy to look up what I have. The following information is what you will expect to learn. The pastors from 1886 to approx. 1910. A few marriages, several baptisms of infants. Church membership list. Who the bishops of that area were. If you make a request for a lookup please type "Forreston Church" in the subject line or use the one above. Carol Vincell
