The Santa Claus Bank Robbery is one of our family's favorite stories. My Dad, who is 91 years old, was in town during the Santa Claus Bank Robbery -- as a matter of fact, he was heading for the bank and decided to stop at the drug store and have a soda first. Upon hearing the news from a passerby, he ran to the see what was going on. When he did see, he -- in his words -- "got out of there fast." For those interested, the Cisco Police Department's Website discusses the robbery. You can read that at http://216.88.101.254/ciscopd/santaclaus.html. There's a book entitled "The Santa Claus Bank Robbery," by A.C. Greene, published by the University of North Texas Press. I have a copy of a pamphlet that was printed by the First National Bank years ago. I don't know if they still distribute this publication. I don't want to take a chance on violating any copyrights, but if anyone is interested, you might want to contact the bank to see if it is still available: First National Bank P.O. Box 1220 Cisco, TX 76437 (254) 442-2211 I was also surprised at how much a Google search for the Santa Claus Bank Robbery turned up!
