Just wondering if anyone on this list has any information on my gggrandfather, G.W. (George W.) Foster and his wife, Sarah A. (Spirers) Foster. One of their sons, Virgil Franklin Foster (my GGrandfather) was sheriff of Eastland County during the late 1920s and 1930s. Their other children included Josephine (married George W. Adams), Augustus (Gus) Foster (married Lula Lea Barnes), Milton, and Nancy. All but Virgil are buried at Elm Cemetery in Okra, Virgil and his wife, Mary Josephine Maxwell, are buried in Rising Star. I believe that G.W. was born in Alabama around 1830 and Sarah was born in Mississippi in 1836. Gus Foster and his family lived on the road behind the Baptist Church in Rising Star. Virgil died in 1957 and Josie died in 1942. Richard Foster Austin, TX
