Many members are on many many lists and when they see a subject line that reads "My Ancestors" they just delete it. 2. When posting a query regarding a surname it would help all of us if you would put your surname in CAPS. This way the members can easily pick out the surnames you are looking for. 3. Please remember to delete the tags and un-needed words when you re-send a message to the list with your answer. If you don't check this, your responses can become quite large and may cause problems with some of our member's servers. This member who might not be able to receive your message because of its size, just might be your long lost second cousin with all the answers you are looking for. 5. Remember to keep your Virus protection up to date and never open any attached file unless you are 100% sure what it is and even then you are taking a chance. 6. Now, the hardest thing is, when one of our own, a fellow member becomes upset about a posting from one of us. It is so hard not to jump in and add our two cents when they send their unhappiness to the entire list. I want you to know how much I appreciate it when you just let these posting go by and delete them. Know that I am behind the scenes taking care of the problem. Pioneer is in the south western corner of Eastland Co. I had a R.L.Day in Eastland Co. about this same time period. He was married to Theodosia(Docia) Abbott. Homer

My great grandfather Yancy David Hall lived in Eastland around 1910. I found his death certificate there. But I can not find him in the census. Also, my grandfather Robert Franklin Day l(Born 1884 in Brownwood) lived in Eastland in 1910. Can anyone tell where the town of Pioneer is located? I found R. F. Day there in 1910. Joyce

In the Bourland family (at least in Eastland Co TX) , Francis Marion Bourland married Eleanor E. King, and had children, one of which was Ovie or Ova Bourland. She married William Mason Nabors. Jack was probably William's father due to the connection of both families and Eastland Co TX but this Marion Bourland has to belong to a son of Francis Marion Bourland or one of his siblings since to be a grandson of Jack Nabors in 1930, Marion's mother had to be a Nabors so can anyone tell me which daughter of Jack Nabors married which Bourland in or around Eastland Co TX??? No, I don't. I have just finished my mom's family for the DAR and DRT. Now, I am working on my dad's. Leona died in 1948 and is buried in Clovis, NM. Her parents were still living at her death. I don't have their information with me right now. It is at home.
