The Us Genweb team and volunteers are recording and photographing cemeteries. Some cemeteries have contact information and some need volunteers. Overall it is a great place to look and see if there is someone there who can help in your search. Michael
One that for sure needs it is IOOF, Denton. I can't believe it's not online yet. jan Dane On 10/26/06, Michael Carter <ethimologie@gmail.com> wrote: > > The Us Genweb team and volunteers are recording and photographing > cemeteries. The Denton County Historical Commission in conjunction with the Denton County Genealogical Society surveyed IOOF in the early 1980s. There is a book of it available for purchase at the Denton County Historical Museum, Inc. http://www.dentoncountyhistoricalmuseum.com/gift_shop.html ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jan Dane" <jrdane@gmail.com> To: <txdenton@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, October 26, 2006 11:51 AM Subject: Re: [TXDENTON] The US GenWeb Tombstone Transcription Project > One that for sure needs it is IOOF, Denton. I think it would be helpful to have an update: There have been some burials in my family's plots (on both sides of the family) since then. :-) -----Original Message----- From: txdenton-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:txdenton-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Diana White Sent: Thursday, October 26, 2006 1:09 PM To: txdenton@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [TXDENTON] The US GenWeb Tombstone Transcription Project The Denton County Historical Commission in conjunction with the Denton County Genealogical Society surveyed IOOF in the early 1980s.
