Laurie, Your post got my attention because my Mary Elizabeth Franklin born 1854 was supposed to have a connection a Hare, etc. family. Since I haven't found a Franklin family in Denton Co. for this time period, maybe as a step-daughter? She married Isaac McCormick about 1871 and their son Warren E. was born in 1872 in Denton. Her next child was Virginia Frances (my great-grandmother) born March 1874. Mary Elizabeth died January 1875 and is buried by Warren at the Old City (Oak Wood) Cemetery In Denton.
