Lionel Hallonquist officiating. Burial was in Old Hall Cemetery under the direction of Lucas-Halden Funeral Home. Mr. Crawford died Tuesday at Flow Memorial Hospital in Denton. He was born January 16, 1897, in Lewisville. Mr. Crawford and his family were pioneers of the Lewisville area. They owned the land where the Flower Mound Visitor’s Center is now location. Mr. Crawford owned and operated Crawford’s Grocery and Market for approximately 30 years. He married Jewis Moore in 1915. An active businessman, he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lions Club and the Chamber of Commerce. Survivors include his widow, Jewis Moore Crawford; one son, Raymond Crawford of Dallas; one daughter, Elizabeth Moseley of Allen; one brother, John Crawford of Fort Worth; grandchildren R.L. Crawford, Jr. and Jerry J. Crawford of Lewisville, and Easy Moseley and Joe Moseley of Allen; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were R.L. Crawford, Jerry J. Crawford, Joe Moseley, Dickie Grant, Brad Moore, J.D. Miller, Hans Schulter, Charles Crawford and Dan Crawford. The Daily Leader (Lewisville, TX) September 27, 1974 Page 2
