C.P. Mercer officiating over the ceremony at the Lucas-Halden Chapel. Interment was in Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas. Whitaker was born in Ferris, Tex., on June 8, 1905. He was a member of the Lewisville Bible Church. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Whitaker of 163 Edwards, a son, Kenneth P. Whitaker of Plano, and two grandchildren.
