Hi I am looking for My 2nd great grandma, Samantha Josphine Warren's parents. I have seen them listed as JQA Warren and Margaret, but I have disproven this. However, these two people are somehow related to her. Here is everything that I know about her. I know that she was : 1860 Census: J Q A Warren, born in Missouri is alive and head of house in Beat 1, Fannin, Texas. His wife is named Mary. She is 25 years old. He has three children living with him. They are: William F Warren, 6, Mary E Warren, 4, and James H. Warren 2. Also in the household are a Cox family: Nathan Cox (11), Nancy C Cox (8), Omah Cox (6), and Mary Cox (4). Lastly, living in the house is E Warren, age 59. Wife Mary cannot read or write. Everyone was born in Texas, except Elizabeth Warren who was born in South Carolina. Next door is a Cantwell family, Mother Amy Cantwell. Children are: She was born in KY. Son Miles 23 was born in MO, wife Isablel and child Ione. Amy is 51 years old from KY. 1870 Census: Josephine Samantha Warren is 9 (born in Texas on 1862) and sister Ellen Warren is 5 (born in 1865 Texas) are living in Dentura county, Texas with a post office in Denton. They are living with head family: Kirkpatrick, another family named Cox, and another Warren, named Elizabeth Warren. Elizabeth Warren is 55 years old and listed last in the Census. She is a white woman from South Carolina. The Coxes are: Nathan 21 , Neoma 16, and Mary A 14. Cox children can not write, but can read. Nathan is a farmer. The Kirkpatrick family is: David Kirkpatrick (a 43 year-old Saddler born 1827 about) His personal estate is worth 200 dollars. Wife, Louisa is 39. The children are: Angelina 15, Thomas 13, David Jr. 9, Lewella 4, and baby Ostris J. (male- age 3 months) All the Kirkpatricks were born in Tennessee, except the youngest who was born in Texas. Those Kirkpatricks are still living there in 1880, but the Coxes and Warrens are not with them. 1880 Census, says David’s wife name is Eliza. In 1870, the JQA Warren above is a John Warren, wife Margaret. Children: William, Mary, and Sarah. However, they are alive and living in same town as my Jospheine Samantha Warren. He cannot be the father, perhaps an uncle or another sort of relative. J. Q. A.
