Captain Patten, Cooke's Regiment (or Cooper's - handwriting is hard to read). The only place I can find this mentioned is on my g-g-grandmother's Widow's Pension Application. They lived in Denton Co., Texas at the time her husband enlisted. Does anyone have any info on this unit?
