His grandfather was John Ligon and great uncle, James Ligon. His great grandfather was Thomas D. Ligon, born circa 1811 in TN. Thomas D. Ligon and his sons John Ligon and James Ligon were early settlers of Denton and of the Peters Colony. They operated a ford over the river in the French Settlement Their 360 acre homestead is now under water in the Lewisville Lake. Duff's first wife was named Maude. Then he moved to DeQueen, AR. His second wife was Eleanor Wilson, my husband's mother. Any info from possible relatives?
